Evyon is looking for an energetic, seasoned, and self-driven Business Development professional. The successful candidate has a proven track record of developing key accounts and projects in the renewable energy ecosystem, ideally with commercial & industrial battery systems directly. Evyon’s new BDM brings a strong professional network within the Nordic and/or European renewable energy industry and will be working in close collaboration with Evyon’s existing BDM, reporting directly to Evyon’s Chief Commercial Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Acquire new and develop existing customers that will buy multiple MWh worth of Evyon's battery energy storage system (BESS) product each year. Initially focused on the Nordics, expanding across Europe through 2023 and onwards
- Market Analysis: Identify opportunities for growth through market characterization, segmentation, and modeling
- Product Development: Generate and synthesize customer feedback and collaborate with Evyon’s engineering team to continuously improve our product offering
- Pricing: Continuously develop and benchmark pricing and business models for Evyon’s products
- Competition: Map, analyze and monitor our competitors
- Structure: Contribute to the professionalization and structuring of Evyon’s sales processes, CRM, and documentation
- Represent Evyon at conferences and similar forums
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience, including renewable energy B2B project development, customer relationship development, or similar. Direct battery system sales experience is a strong plus
- Detailed knowledge of the renewable energy industry, especially within power and energy storage markets
- Excellent professional network within the Nordic and broader European renewable energy industry, especially among buyers of commercial & industrial BESS solutions
- Demonstrated track record of developing professional customer relationships
- Clear communicator, able to efficiently offer feedback and report on progress
- Fluency in English is a must
- Passion for sustainability and circular business models
- Willingness to travel to Oslo on a regular basis if not based locally
Requirements and Working Hours
Evyon’s Business Development Manager is confident in working independently to connect with potential customers, structure, plan and execute the required analyses and documentation for converting a lead into a sale and deliver and communicate output in a structured and high-quality fashion.
The position is full-time, with flexible work hours, and as Evyon’s product portfolio and ability to deliver mature, more time will be allocated towards acquiring and following up with customers. Evyon is a young startup, and enthusiasm and flexibility are expected while the company grows and develops. Given the resources available in a startup company, everyone in Evyon is expected to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
